Jimmy Keyrouz is an award-winning film director/writer. He is the writer of Amazonian & Twelve, both in development. He recently directed Rose Noir, a gangster action TV series set in the Middle East. His first feature film Broken Keys was included in the Cannes Film Festival 2020 Official Selection, received the 2022 Murex d’Or, and represented Lebanon for the 2021 Oscars. Broken Keys’ screenplay was one of six chosen from over 1,000 submissions for The Black List 2019 Annual Feature Lab. Oscar-winner Gabriel Yared composed the score, and WME represents the film.

Previously, Jimmy wrote and directed Nocturne in Black. The film won the Gold Medal at the 43rd Student Academy Awards, a year the Academy received a record number of 1,749 films. It also secured the BAFTA, the Directors Guild of America Student Film Awards, and was shortlisted for the 2017 Oscars in the Live-Action Shorts category.

Outside of filmmaking, Jimmy engages in road biking, scuba diving, skiing, rock climbing, and playing the piano. He also participates in forest planting initiatives and fluently speaks English, French, Arabic, and some Spanish. Jimmy obtained his M.F.A. in Screenwriting/Directing at Columbia University, New York, in 2016.
